Pest control licensing in WA, explained
Pest management in Western Australia is regulated under the Health (Pesticides) Regulations 2011, administered by the WA Department of Health. Elite Pest Control's technicians hold current licensing under these regulations, and termite work is carried out under the separate termite and timber pests endorsement.

The pest control industry has two main accreditation bodies worth knowing about when choosing an operator:

the Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association, represents professional pest managers nationally and sets industry standards.

administered by AEPMA, accredits pest management companies against advanced knowledge, a professional code of conduct, and ongoing training requirements.

Why licensing matters
Pesticide use in WA is regulated for good reason, technicians are working with poisons scheduled 4 to 7, and mishandling can cause real harm to the technician, occupants, and the public. Choosing a licensed operator means the person treating your home or business has met a medical fitness standard, completed required training, and is accountable to the regulator if something goes wrong.
Questions we get asked
Yes. All technicians hold current pest management technician licences under WA's Health (Pesticides) Regulations 2011, and termite work is carried out under the additional termite and timber pests endorsement.
A standard pest management technician licence covers general pest treatment. Termite work requires a separate endorsement on top of the base licence, reflecting the additional training and risk involved in termite management.
PestCert is an accreditation program administered by AEPMA, confirming that a pest management company meets advanced standards for knowledge, professional conduct, and ongoing training.
Termite protection for new building work is installed to AS 3660.1:2014, existing building termite management to AS 3660.2:2017, and timber pest inspections to AS 4349.3-2010.
